Tuesday – was a bit hard going this morning, too many Mia tias the night before. We got up at 11 which meant we missed the breakfast feast at the hotel. We decided to head up to Seminyak to have lunch up there & went to a really nice restaurant. There were lots of posh looking people there and we were looking a little rough around the edges. Water was my drink of choice today. 🙂

We had a yummy Indonesian style meal and Robbie and sambul in a little dish on the side and the waiter told him it was very hot. Robbie likes hot food and just had a small taste before he put it on his rice. He had the smallest amount on the end of his fork and Holy Dooley he had steam coming out of his ears. He reckons it was the hottest thing he has ever had in his life.:-) His face turned all shades of red. Needless to say he decided against covering his food with it. Lunch was yummy and we had a bit of a wander around the streets looking in the shops but I really was craving air-conditioning in my hangover state so Robbie hailed us a Taxi to get us on our way.

We decide to do to Bali Galleria and have a look in the stores there. The place was very quiet . This was definitely a place for the westerners to hang out in as by Bali standards everything was expensive but our standards every thing was a bargain.

We went to the jewellery section in one of the large department store Matarhari (like Myers) and I got a beautiful gold GUESS watch. Not a copy, a real one for about ¼ the price I would pay in Australia. ( I’d already bought a couple of fakes which I thought looked good till I put them up against the real thing ) I was really happy it is all nice and shining and sparkly.

Then we went to the bag section as I wanted a new bag and had made my mind up I wasn’t going to buy any fakes in the market as I did that in Thailand and they just fell apart. How lucky am I they were having a sale and all the GUESS (genuine ) products, 50% to 75% off. In case you haven’t worked it out I am a bit of a GUESS fan. I got a hand bag for $50 and a purse for $25. I was pretty dam happy about that. 🙂 Robbie bought a pair of crocs hoping they would help his aching legs and a couple pair of nice dress shorts.

We decide to have a cold drink and Robbie ordered an Ice coffee and it was disgusting it was like a triple espresso with ice cream he couldn’t even finish it the poor thing. I had a fresh mango drink but could share that with him because he is allergic to mango.

We decided it was too hard to shop and took all our bargains back to the hotel and head off to get some pampering. Robbie had a massage as he was having a lot of pain in his legs and I had my feet sucked. Hehehehehe it’s not what you are thinking. They have these foot spas over there where you stick your feet into a big fish tank and it is full of sucking fish that clean all the dead skin of your feet. It’s very relaxing and your feet get totally defoliated . It sounds disgusting but it’s really nice. The girls scrub your feet before they go in the tank so it not like you are swirling in other people foot rot.

I would recommend it I came out with the cleanest smoothest feet. Sorry no pictures as Robbie didn’t get a chance to take one. We did plan that I would have it again so he could get a photo as it’s pretty funny but we didn’t seem to get time for me to have it done again. 🙂

After that it was pretty much dinner time and we ended up at a place called the joker bar. We had more Indonesian food and some ARAK( the local wine drink) and we just laughed with the staff they were very chatty and wanted to practice their English on us. We did a bit more shopping Robbie got a couple of Surf Shirts but were pretty shattered and it was hurting to shop, so we went back at the hotel dropped that off and went over the beach for a bit of a look around and some fresh air but were back in our room by 11pm and ready for bed.
